Green Smoothie Detox Day Four

The good feelings continue to grow. Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables makes my body happy. The best part for me has been experiencing new flavors and new flavor combinations. It also does NOT hurt that my skirts and pants are a little looser than they were just less than two weeks back.

Day Four Menu

Breakfast: ¼ cup blueberries, 1 banana, 1 bunch (less than a handful) of parsley, a large handful of spinach, and about ¼ cup cranberry juice. It was a very fruity way to start the day.

Lunch: 1 peach, ¾ apple, 1 celery, handful of spinach, ¼ cup cranberry juice – ½ baked potato w/ butter and one green onion – 1 piece of chicken kabob. The celery gives the smoothies a very interesting flavor, and I found it refreshing for lunch. The potato and chicken were left over from dinner last night (and there is still plenty of chicken remaining). The recipe was from day 2 (I got my menus pages mixed up). It was one more reminder that it is not a set program for eating but a new way of looking at the food.

Dinner: 2 pieces of chicken, one large tomato – I got away from the green smoothies for a night.
